Korean Identity Management(KIM)

2007년 12월 4일 IIW2007b에서 OAuth Core 1.0 공식 버전 스펙  이 공개되었습니다. 지난 10월 드래프트 버전이 발표된지 2달만의 결과였죠. 현재 OAuth 프로젝트의 진행 상황을 체크해 보았습니다.
공식 홈페이지(http://oauth.net/)를 방문하면 introduction 문서  와 여러 플랫폼을 지원하는 공개 라이브러리 를 확인할 수 있습니다. 현재 C#, Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, Perl 언어로 작성되어 있습니다.

또한 메일링리스트 기능을 겸하여 구글 그룹스에 OAuth 커뮤니티 그룹  이 개설되어 있습니다. 정식 버전이 공개된 이후에는 활동이 뜸하지만, 좋은 내용들이 많이 있는 듯 보입니다.

OAuth는 현재 Twitter와 Ma.gnolia에 구현되어 있습니다. 그리고 일부 표준은 Google의 OpenSocial  플랫폼에 적용되었다고 하네요. 어느 부분인지 궁금합니다. OAuth는 최근의 open web 추세에서 많이 활용될 수 있는 프로젝트입니다. 다양한 언어로 구현된 공개 라이브러리가 가장 끌리네요.

 

OAuth is being implemented by Twitter and Ma.gnolia, and portions of the standard appear in Google's OpenSocial platform. Although the initial release is a core protocol containing the basics of exchanging tokens between sites, Hammer-Lahav says that later releases will give users finer control over how they grant access to their data.
