영원히 적으로 남을 것 같았던 Liberty Alliance와 Microsoft가 손을 잡으려고 합니다. Liberty의 ID-WSF 표준과 MS의 WS-* 표준을 다룰 것 같은데, 구체적으로 어떻게 진행될지는 전혀 감이 오지 않는군요.

"We have finally put down the boxing gloves and are trying to figure out how to solve our customers' problems," said Roger Sullivan, the newly elected president of the Liberty Alliance and vice president of Oracle's identity management section. 

아직 MS측의 입장도 모르는 상태입니다. Liberty 측에서도 모르는 내용이라서 당혹스러워 하더군요.

Microsoft officials reached in London Wednesday morning could not immediately comment on the discussions.

(1/20 추가된 내용)  Liberty 측에서 상황을 설명하는 메일이 왔었습니다. Liberty의 로저 설리반씨가 인터뷰할 때, 다른 표준과의 컨버전스에 대해 언급하면서 일례를 든 것이라고 합니다. 단순한 일례는 아니고, identity 분야의 발전을 위한 구체적인 협력 방안이라고 말했습니다. 하지만 MS 측의 입장은 아직 모릅니다.
